About us

abc-food (12).jpgABC Food a.d. (JSC) Ruski Krstur is an agricultural plant which is situated in the Northern part of Vojvodina and which administratively belongs to the Municipality of Kula. Its surface spreads over 1000 hectares and, alongside the arable land, it comprises of a cooler facility - factory for the processing and production of frozen vegetables, a farm for cattle breeding and a fish pond.

Vast investments during 2007 have doubled the capacities of the cooler facility and have thus enabled annual production of 15000 tons for frozen vegetables, whilst the cooler warehouse capacity has been increased to 8000 tons. Our new waste water processing system has enabled our agricultural land to be irrigated with a natural fertilizer, thus meeting the prerequisites for the production of organic food, as well as for the production of silage for the nutrition of cattle.

The high standard of the production process is verified by a HACCP certificate which was issued by TÜV Rheinland, in 2008… Read more >>

Tradition

Prvi-maj-ABC-kamen-temeljac-03.jpgThe plant was founded as General Agricultural Society Cooperative, under the name „Jedinstvo“, in spring 1946. Through merges, acquisitions, dissociations and status changes, by the end of 1989 it became a public enterprise Agricultural Plant „Prvi Maj“. The following year, „Prvi Maj“ issued internal shares and became a joint stock company (JSC). In 2003 the state sold its shares at the auction and the plant became entirely privatly owned. In January 2008, with the Decision of Shareholders’ Assembly, the plant changed its name into ABC Food a.d. (JSC) Ruski Krstur…Read more >>

Production

abc-food (15).jpgAside from vegetable cultivation, cattle and fish breeding, the pillar of the company’s progress that encloses the production cycle is the factory for the processing and freezing of vegetables.
The factory has the ability to process up to 15 000 tons of frozen vegetables annually, on its production lines for the processing of peas, sweet corn, peppers, carrots, potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower and other varieties of root vegetables.
These vegetables are also used as components for mixtures that we produce as per our standard recipes – mixtures for Russian sallad, broth, broccoli broth and stew. There is also possibility to prepare mixtures as per customers’ requests.
The entire facility is organized under HACCP standards, which guarantee impeccable conditions for the production, storage and laboratory examination of raw materials, the final products and waste water.
Pack-center is equipped with two modern packing lines. One line is used for packing of goods in bulk into 10kg carton boxes and 20kg natron bags, and it has capacity of approximately 8 tons per hour. The other line packs vegetables into 450g comercial packs, and its capacity is approximately 1 ton per hour…Read more >>
